Biography
Emmanuel Cugny began his career as a radio journalist in local and regional media. He held various positions as a reporter, news and press review presenter, and magazine host, first for the European Broadcasting Union (a program bank for local radio stations) from 1991 to 1992, then for local Radio France stations the following year.
In 1993, Emmanuel Cugny became editor and news presenter on RFI (Radio France Internationale). That same year, he joined the Radio Classique team as a presenter and reporter. From 1994 to 1999, he hosted the 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. slot, with a daily news program and live interviews with personalities from the business and political worlds. In 1999, he became head of news and the economic and general editorial department. Finally, in 2001, he was appointed editor-in-chief of Radio Classique, then deputy editor-in-chief in 2005.
Between 2003 and 2006, Emmanuel Cugny created and managed Canal Académie, a web radio station/program archive for the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques, hosted by the Institut de France.
Emmanuel Cugny has been president of the AJEF (Association of Economic and Financial Journalists) since April 2017.
