Biography
Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais is the elected Secretary-General of UN Tourism (2026-2029 term), the first woman and first Emirati to hold this position. A finance graduate from Zayed University, she has over 16 years of experience in the hospitality industry as Corporate Vice President of Owner Relationship Management at Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC, covering the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Turkey. She also serves on several advisory boards and leads industry initiatives in Abu Dhabi. Her vision for UN Tourism revolves around sustainability, digital innovation, economic inclusion, and responsible governance.
