The consumer as architect of change
At a time when the home has become the center of gravity of everyday life, the lines of the economy are shifting. Working, learning, consuming, caring for oneself, interacting: everything is converging toward a model where proximity, fluidity, and comfort are becoming the new standards. To understand this silent shift, Toluna Harris Interactive, in partnership with BNP Paribas Personal Finance, the HUB Institute, and the Paris Economic Forum, conducted a groundbreaking study of more than 3,000 representative French citizens. Its goal: to shed light on how citizens now balance purchasing power, responsibility, and convenience, and how these choices are redefining value chains. Born out of the work of the PEF Lab – Sofa Economics, this approach goes beyond simply observing trends: it questions how companies and institutions can create value in an economy of immediacy, while reconciling accessibility, sustainability, and social ties. Vincent Sussfeld, Deputy CEO of Carrefour, will present the findings of this survey exclusively and launch the publication of the Sofa Economics 2025 report. Sofa Economics Lab
