BRIS ROCHER
Groupe Rocher
Président
Biography
Bris ROCHER is the grandson of Yves ROCHER, founder of the eponymous Rocher Group. Trained in finance at Arthur Andersen, he became Vice President of the Group in 2003 with the aim of restructuring the company to give it a stable governance framework.
Appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2006 and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2009, Bris ROCHER bought back the shares held by the pharmaceutical group Sanofi to consolidate the family shareholding in 2012. Since then, the brand portfolio has expanded and the Group has significantly changed its geographical footprint.
As the first international group to adopt the status of a mission-driven company, the implementation of separate governance within the Group from July 1, 2023, has led Bris ROCHER, Chairman of the Rocher Group, to delegate his duties as Chief Executive Officer to Jean-David SCHWARTZ. This separation will allow Bris ROCHER to focus on his role as Chairman of the Rocher Group Board of Directors in order to define and promote the Group's long-term strategic vision, as well as its unique positioning as a mission-driven company.
This pioneering spirit led Bruno Le Maire and Olivia Grégoire to entrust Bris Rocher with the drafting of the Rocher report: “Rethinking the place of companies in society: assessment and prospects two years after the Pacte law,” submitted in 2021. Since 2024, he has also been president of the Green Impact Index Consortium, the organization that developed and promotes the Green Impact Index, a tool for scoring and displaying the environmental and societal impact of products. This initiative aims to improve the impact standards of the cosmetics, dietary supplement, and wellness industries by providing consumers with more information.
